Insight into RABs Cabinets

RABS’ cabinets or Restricted Access Barrier Systems on a vertical Laminar Airflow cabinet are widely used in aseptic processing. These systems offer a flexible way of working over sanitised isolators and they negate the need for the use of sanitising agents such as hydrogen peroxide that may adverse impact the product or monitoring process. When working within a RABS, manual operations are completed through glove ports ensuring that ‘people’, often the largest source of potential contaminating bugs in a clean room are distanced from the open aseptic operations.

At Symbiosis we have two RABs cabinets to ensure that our drugs are manufactured to the highest standards according to MHRA guidelines. The RABS cabinets are fitted with filters that provide a High Quality laminar airflow and allows for us to use an efficient process to deliver sterile products to our clients.

Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services is a world class specialist in the manufacturing of sterile injectable drugs for clinical trials and niche commercial marketed products. Our aim is to successfully reduce our clients’ drug development times.
